Operations Manager

AutoBase, Inc. is a prominent provider of safety service patrols and manages multiple Road Ranger contracts in Florida and additionally in 9 other States for over 23 years. Our mission is to enhance roadway safety and efficiency, ensuring that our fleet of vehicles is in optimal condition to respond swiftly to incidents and assist motorists in need.

Our Opportunity:

We are seeking an Operations Manager in Tampa, FL to join our team.

Tuesday - Saturday

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM/9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $65,000.00

This role is essential for maintaining scheduling and fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Position Details:

• Work collaboratively with the team under the Program manager, providing assistance and support as required.
• Maintain employee scheduling and proper staffing levels.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and ensure all vehicles are safe and operational.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding vehicle conditions and any additional repairs needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in all maintenance tasks and employee reporting items and/or reports.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 3 Years of management experience.
• Successfully pass a comprehensive background and criminal check, as well as a drug test.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience.
• Proficient knowledge of standard gas and diesel engines, with a focus on Ford vehicles preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

ABILITIES, PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of vehicle operations and safety guidelines.
• Ability to apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner.
• Capable of working with peers, the public and management from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
• While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands, talk, and hear.
• The position is also frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl. In addition to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs.
