The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a small team of machinists in addition to operating and programming CNC machines, including lathes and Haas models. This role will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality parts and components.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance or personnel issues.
- Utilize lathes, Haas machines, and other CNC equipment to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Monitor production progress, ensuring timely completion of projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to machining best practices and safety protocols, continuously improving processes to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall efficiency.
- Track and control inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies to support continuous machining operations.
