Lead Maintenance Mechanic position in Suffolk, VA.
Should have strong exp. repairing & troubleshooting, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and well as having strong Preventative Maintenance exp. Welding and Electrical Experience an asset.
Duties to include
- Project work to build new equipment including controls, lighting and motors
- Troubleshoot and maintain systems
- Maintain updated documentation of all electrical changes implemented
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Assist in fabricating and installing equipment
- Major Work Area : Service; repair; maintenance; machine set-up, machinery installation
Required Qualifications:
- Evidence of strong problem solving and decision-making ability
- Effective communication skills required
- Experience with large motors (Up to 75 hp)
- Able to safely operate scissor lift and Genie boom
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Welding equipment; pumps and compressors; lifting device; fans and blowers; electrical and electronic controls; conveyor; brakes; hydraulic system
· Drivers License (Preferred)
Desired but not required:
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- PLC Programming and/or troubleshooting 5 yrs.
- Knowledge of Mechanical or Piping system
- Willingness to work weekends
Good communication skills & able to weld. Willing to train.
