What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Drafter position at Automatic Handling?
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Drafter to prepare wiring diagrams, panel assembly diagrams, and layout drawings for the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment. This is a full-time position at Automatic Handling International, Inc.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft detail and assembly drawings of design components and circuitry using computer-assisted equipment or standard drafting techniques.
- Draft working drawings, wiring diagrams, and wiring connection specifications as required for instructions to installation crew.
- Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets to be checked by a Sr. Engineer.
- Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment such as distances to be spanned by wire and cable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or related field experience.
- Proficiency in CAD electrical and pneumatic schematic creation.
- Knowledge of ePlan is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards applicable in construction of industrial equipment.
- Attention to Detail.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
