Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Helper for a company based in Cullman, AL. Schedule and Hours
Dayshift : Mon-Thur; 7 : 00a-5 : 30p / Fri; 7 : 00a-3 : 30p Nightshift : Sun; 11 : 00p-7 : 00a / Mon-Thur; 9 : 00p-7 : 00a General Accountability Assist in all areas within shop by supplying materials and or help where needed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the site’s business goals and objectives.Primary Responsibilities
- Load and unload material from machines
- Assist machine operators in operating machinery used in the production process.
- Place material in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing
- Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
- Lift materials or machined products using overhead cranes.
- Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plant using overhead crane.
- Help production workers by supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.
- Mark or tag identification on parts.
- Clean material using powered hand grinder. Detailed Work Activities
- Remove products or workpieces from production equipment.
- Mount attachments or tools onto production equipment.
- Watch operating equipment to detect malfunctions.
- Load materials into production equipment.
- Mark products, workpieces, or equipment with identifying information.
- Sort materials or products for processing, storing, shipping, or grading.
- Clean work areas.
- Notify others of equipment repair or maintenance needs.
- Lift materials or workpieces using cranes or other lifting equipment.
- Signal others to coordinate work activities.
- Move products, materials, or equipment between work areas
- General housekeeping of work area(s).
- Operate overhead cranes to move material, equipment, and parts.
- Use fire suppression methods in industrial emergencies.
- Requires working in varying climate changes (heat / cold). Education and Training
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
- Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
- Work on various shifts as necessary to include nights and weekends as necessary.
- On the job training (OJT) of a few months to one year of working with experienced employees Core Competencies
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Must be able to spend most of the workday standing and walking.
- Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
