SHOP MANAGER

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Shop Manager for a fabrication shop based in Chattanooga, TN.In this role, you will be fabricating as an experienced welder as well as supervising employees. This is small family owned business with great long-term opportunities. Pay Rate

23.00-$26.00 per hour plus up to $300 production bonus and potential for profit sharing Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Shop Manager Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise welders : Ensure that welders are working safely and correctly
Inspect work : Ensure that welds, joints, and finished pieces meet quality standards
Ensure safety : Ensure that the welding process adheres to safety regulations and company policies
Manage daily activities : Oversee the daily activities of the welding team
Communicate with customers about their needs and relay the information in a clear manner

Shop Manager Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical certification

At least five years of welding experience

Experience in leadership or supervision

Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and leadership skills
