Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our automotive team of multiple dealerships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial software, along with excellent leadership skills to manage the finance department effectively.

Duties

• Oversee all accounting functions, including account reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP standards.
• Manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
• Conduct regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Utilize financial software such as Reynolds, CDK, Automate, Dealertrack for efficient financial management.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Lead the finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, payroll, and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software such is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with GAAP standards is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a finance team.
• Effective communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Pay: $84,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
