What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Coordinator position at Automotive Lift Service?
The Service Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by responding to customer inquiries, managing service requests, and providing administrative support to the service team. This position involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting in efficiently scheduling technician workflows, and helping to create and submit repair estimates and sales quotes for customer approval.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer and respond to incoming calls, providing updates on schedules, billing, service issues, and addressing technical inquiries.
- Assist in developing and submitting repair estimates and commercial lift equipment sales quotes for customer approval.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and submit orders for replacement inventory.
- Submit orders for non-inventoried, replacement parts with suppliers.
- Oversee needs of inventoried replacement parts for warranty.
- Record daily tracking of equipment/supplies loaded on delivery vehicles.
- Oversee ALI Inspection schedule and contact customer base regarding expiration of current certifications.
- Schedule services with and submit billings to Third Party administrators.
- Assist with the daily schedule of technicians.
- Assist with conducting daily technician meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and three to five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nonprofessionals.
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and customers.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
