We seek a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Counter Sales Representative with experience in the automotive industry or dealership environments. This role involves greeting and providing customer service, assisting with non-application parts, mixing paint, handling customer returns, and resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
In addition, the Counter Sales Representative will be responsible for checking in freight, delivering parts, performing cycle counts, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring proper label management. The role also includes maintaining store appearance, adhering to security and safety protocols, and meeting daily operational standards as set by the manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service to retail and commercial customers to establish Auto Value as the leading provider of automotive parts, accessories, tools, equipment, and automotive paint and supplies in the marketplace.
- Assist with phone inquiries and convert them into commercial deliveries and in-store sales.
- Utilize computer and paper catalogs to identify parts accurately, stay updated on current sales and promotions, suggest related sales items, and advise customers on possible upgrade options when appropriate.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints quickly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and promoting customer loyalty.
- Ensure all customers receive world-class service that meets their needs through Auto Value.
- Follow proper store policies and procedures when processing sales transactions, maintaining consistency and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment in line with safety standards and operational expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Automotive parts knowledge or previous sales experience is preferred; training will be provided.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members at all company levels.
- Familiarity with store operating procedures and a commitment to following them to ensure operational excellence.
- Ability to effectively resolve customer concerns while maintaining a professional demeanor.
