Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Vision
- Translate ownership’s goals into actionable plans across every department.
- Champion and enforce the company’s core values: honesty and integrity, family values, team focused, ambitious and driven, leadership capability.
- Foster a culture of high morale, trust, and performance.
Operational Management
- Own the Daily DOC and monitor pace reports to track performance vs. forecast in real time.
- Implement and enforce dealership systems, policies, and administrative controls.
- Back up department managers during peak periods or in their absence.
Sales & Financial Objectives
- Achieve monthly and annual profit plan targets across variable, fixed, and F&I operations.
- Guide departments in maximizing gross per employee, increasing same-store sales, and improving F&I productivity.
- Conduct weekly inventory reviews and manage asset guidelines (e.g., 60-day used vehicle aging, 35-day used car dollar supply, etc.).
People & Culture
- Direct recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for all departments.
- Conduct job objective planning and After Action Reports to develop and coach team members.
- Maintain bench strength through turnover analysis and succession planning.
- Lead by example with a “high-road” approach in handling employee and customer concerns.
Customer Experience
- Ensure both the sales and service departments deliver results that are:

- Moving in a positive trend
Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain legal and safety schedules (forms, insurance, inspections, etc.).
- Monitor compliance with HR, OEM, and regulatory standards.
Marketing & Advertising
- Review marketing ROI with BDC/marketing team weekly.
- Make data-driven advertising decisions that align with budget per vehicle sold.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years as a CDJR General Manager with a proven track record of operational and financial success.
- Deep knowledge of all dealership departments and how to lead them in sync.
- Strategic thinker with the tactical discipline to execute daily.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasts, and DOC reports.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to hold others accountable while supporting their growth.
- Comfortable presenting performance to senior ownership and adjusting strategy in real time.
