Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background with expertise in diesel engines and related systems. This role is essential for maintaining the performance and safety of our fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal working condition. The Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Fabricate components as necessary to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely during repair processes.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs or maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with other technicians to improve processes and resolve complex issues.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with brake repair techniques and service technician responsibilities is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and suspending tasks safely.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
- A valid driver’s license may be required based on company policy.

Pay: $27.96 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
