Job Description
The Facilities Equipment Maintenance Technician is assigned to the Facilities Maintenance Department and is responsible for performing routine facilities equipment PM inspections, maintenance, and routine repair of facility equipment, including facility water pumps, air compressors, HVAC, the Wheel Wash, Vehicle Lifts, Tire Machines, facility roll-up doors, and other facility equipment as identified by Maintenance Department Management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performing a variety of PM Inspections on all Facility Equipment for which the Maintenance Department is responsible, including, but not limited to: all tire mounting, demounting, and balancing equipment; all vehicle lifts; air compressors, HVAC Systems, the Wheel Wash, and all facility roll-up doors.
· Maintenance of all HVAC systems as required.
· Collect, review, and store all equipment operator PM inspections on a monthly-basis. Responsible for administering the site PM program for designated equipment, making repairs within the scope of the technician’s responsibilities and/or arranging approved outside service vendors when deemed necessary.
· Create and manage work orders (opening/closing) for equipment within the scope of the technicians Job Description and responsibilities.
· Keep an inventory of common repair parts for equipment within the scope of the technicians Job Description and responsibilities.
· Responsible for Sourcing, obtaining Quotes, Availability, and associated Costs for all parts or outside service vendor requirements.
· Keep all required Fire Extinguisher inspections current.
· Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
· Maintaining complete, organized, and accurate paperwork.
· Participate as a member of the Safety Council on request or as applicable.
· Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements Skills/Abilities
As a Facility Equipment Maintenance Technician, the individual must be experienced and aware of the current facility equipment status and be a persistent problem solver. The individual will be required to perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with Safety, Quality, Efficiency and in accordance with the Customers Expectations-Requirements and to Industry Standards.
· Must have a High School education or equivalent.
· Possess a valid Texas Drivers’ License with a clean driving record.
· Must be a minimum of 21-years of age or older (insurance requirement for driving company vehicles)
· Must prove legal eligibility to work in the United States of America.
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Working knowledge of all Facility Equipment as described with a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in the English Language.
- Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays if required
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
- Possess the physical strength to be able to LIFT/PUSH Heavy Items weighing 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders daily.
- Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
- Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
