POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist the Facilities Supervisor with the day-to-day operational and maintenance tasks to maintain the value, safety, and appearance of the property and equipment. Assis the Facilities Supervisor with maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building needs. Assist with the preventative maintenance of all manufacturing tools and equipment. Ensure both CRT buildings are maintained and operating within all applicable local and state regulations.
Hours:
1st Shift, Monday Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm
Pay: From $18.00 an hour and based on experience
ESENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MONITORING
- Responsible for monitoring and performing routine maintenance on the VPure Pure Water System, Compressed Air System, Ultra Low Temperature Freezers, Refrigerators, Incubators, Air conditioners, etc. as assigned.
- Perform monthly fire extinguisher verification.
- Work closely with the Facilities Supervisor, Processing Manager, Director of Operations, and the V.P. of QA / RA to ensure maintenance needs and repairs are communicated and addressed in a timely fashion.
- Conduct a regular safety walk-through of the Facility to identify and address any immediate safety concerns.
- Maintain the Monitoring and Maintenance on all assigned equipment and complete all associated documentation for the Quality Records.
- Complete all assigned training for OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogens safety guidelines and ensure the facility to be compliant on a daily basis.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
- Perform all preventative maintenance as directed on assigned equipment.
- Complete all documentation for Preventative Maintenance on assigned equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Strong communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, good organization skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to comprehend information and effectively communicate with various levels of staff to ensure proper use of all equipment and building systems.
- Requires attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
- Effectively interact with staff and customers to successfully resolve problems.
- Ability to operate a computer with proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Ability to understand and comply with all Tissue Regenix / CellRight Technologies Policies and Procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 0 6 months work experience in sterile processing or related field preferred, but not required.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must have working knowledge or be willing to learn, understand, and focus on aseptic principles and techniques.
- Must have working knowledge or be willing to learn and understand surgical instrumentation how they function, how they are cleaned, sterilized, and processed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in operations/maintenance of buildings, building systems, or mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Experience working with facilities subject to compliance with regulatory or industry standards is required.
- Experience working with and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and instrumentation, or control systems is preferred.
- Experience in Tissue Banking industry is highly desired but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and equipment manuals is required.
- Duties may include physical effort; including the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., bending, squatting, reaching, or being on feet for long periods of time.
- Duties include exposure to cleaning supplies, periodic oil from air compressor, and periodic biohazardous materials.
- Ability to work independently and organize work activities to meet goals and deadlines.
- Must be able to work outside and in tight mechanical spaces. Some nights and weekends may be required to respond to emergency situations and ensure the building is properly maintained at all times.
- Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
