An automotive organization is seeking to hire an Accountant. In this seat, you will be responsible for posting AP invoices, reconciliations, journal entries, reviewing car deals, and utilizing CDK Accounting Software. The ideal candidate has advanced Excel skills and has used CDK.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with technical accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with corporate finance teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitor financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
Skills
- Proficient in accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial accounting.
- Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) accounting is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools that enhance productivity in financial reporting.
