Position Summary

The Senior Analyst, Variable Operations plays a pivotal role in driving new and used vehicle operations by focusing on pricing strategies, operational analytics, and cross-functional collaboration. This position aims to optimize inventory management, sales performance, and profitability through advanced data analysis, modeling, and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a robust technical background and help bridge gaps between departmental data sources. A strong foundation in data science will set this individual up for success.

Organizational Relationships

• Reports to: Director, Variable Operations

• Interacts with: Senior leadership, marketing teams, FP&A, sales teams, CAAD, Pricing Teams, and the Variable Operations team
   

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Provide actionable insights to support decision-making for pricing and inventory management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align strategies and optimize processes.
• Facilitate collaboration between variable operations and departments such as marketing and sales.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Deliver high-level summaries and recommendations based on operational data to leadership.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data (minimum 1 year of experience).
• Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling (minimum 1 year of experience).
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
   

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in a related discipline.
• Exposure to pricing or inventory management in an operational setting.
• Familiarity with marketing analytics and cross-departmental collaboration.
