Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Processing bi-weekly payroll
- Payroll tax state setup
- Sales and use tax filings
- Monthly reconciliations for benefits
- Bookkeeping, with daily journals of finances
- Organization and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and standards
- Accuracy and attention
- Accounting in an Excel format
- Reading ledgers and reviewing financial reports
- Assist in any and all other Accounting tasks as assigned
- Knowledge of Payroll and Accounting/ERP systems such as Paylocity & SAP by design is preferred.
- Support Accounts Payable (AP)
- Support Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or 3 years of experience in payroll and payroll taxes.
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience in an ERP system (SAP Business ByDesign)
- Preferred experience processing payroll using Paylocity.
- Good understanding of accounting and finance.
- Proficient in processing payroll and state payroll tax setup.
- Proficient in reconciliations.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers in the application of accounting principles.
- Able to operate 10-key calculator.
- Good Math skills
- Able to use Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills.
- Additional Accounting and GAAP understanding
