Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development team, advancing a culture of innovation, collaboration, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Advance the team to adhere to the engineering strategies, principles, processes, and procedures to ensure the successful delivery of the assigned PoC.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions, ensuring that the work will provide real life information to support the final commercial product.
- Perform internal development reviews and gates to ensure the PoC properly documents the requirements and performance achieved.
- Promote requirements-driven designs, ensuring that solutions of the PoC could be integrated into the commercial product.
- Collaborate with the commercial development team and product manager to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team, resolving complex technical issues and challenges.
- Facilitate the alignment of verification and validation processes with the specified requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting professional growth and career development within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years proven experience in engineering leadership role, managing individuals.
- Strong technical background with expertise in engineering principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing engineering budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and certifications.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Experience as a Development Manager or similar.
- Experience working in Robotics, Automation, or a similar field.
- Master's Degree.
