Position Overview
Autoquip Corporation, a leading manufacturer of mechanical and hydraulic lift equipment is looking for a customer service representative that will provide superior technical support to our customers. We work with many leading manufacturing companies around the world and meeting their needs is critical to our continued success and growth. You will work closely with our engineers, purchasing and sales teams to ensure our customers’ requests are met on time and in a professional manner.
Business Contributions
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills both written and spoken; technical skills and acumen.
- Provide prompt solutions to customers by clearly identifying the issue, researching possible solutions, and finally guiding the customer through corrective steps.
- Responsible for “Case entry” within business system, for documentation, task actions and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for determining replacement parts and completing order correctly into our internal systems for processing and shipping to customer.
- Understanding of hydraulics, mechanical actuation, electrical controls, and PLC program trouble shooting.
- Maintain knowledge and stay up-to-date regarding the complete Autoquip product line and troubleshooting instructions.
- Continuously strive for improvement by attending technical seminars.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Ability to incorporate telephone and email etiquette to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand equipment drawings.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Education & Experience
- Technical degree greatly valued.
- Prior customer service experience in technical field preferred.
Requirements
All customer calls are inbound, however this position may require periodic travel.
