Position Summary
Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting / Finance Manager functions as a business partner with senior management to effectively manage and control the business. Responsibilities include acquisition integration support, general accounting, taxes / regulatory reporting, payables, billing / receivables, business analysis, financial reporting, inventory, and banking activities. This role will play a key part in the upcoming implementation of a new companywide ERP system. Position provides leadership to a team of accounting and business support staff and is responsible for the performance management and hiring / development of the employees within that department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Act as a business partner to CFO and other senior leaders within the organization.
- Provide leadership and development to accounting and business support team.
- Establish efficient company accounting procedures with an emphasis on strong internal controls.
- Monitor financial performance of the company.
- Lead month-end close process and compile / analyze financial reports.
- Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company accounting policies.
- Oversee cash management, including company credit cards and bank accounts.
- Leadership and support of accounts receivable / billing, accounts payable, project accounting / revenue recognition, and other accounting related functions.
- Fixed asset management and reporting.
- Management and communication of company’s key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordination of the company’s financial statement audit and reporting to the company’s banking partners.
- Comply with local, state and federal government reporting and tax filings.
- Coordinate and oversee insurance requirements including annual insurance audits.
- ERP system implementation and management.
- Annual budget support and regular financial forecasting.
- Support integration of newly acquired companies.
- Ensure the company’s accounting system is accurate at all times and maximized for most efficient use.
