Position Summary

Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting / Finance Manager functions as a business partner with senior management to effectively manage and control the business. Responsibilities include acquisition integration support, general accounting, taxes / regulatory reporting, payables, billing / receivables, business analysis, financial reporting, inventory, and banking activities. This role will play a key part in the upcoming implementation of a new companywide ERP system. Position provides leadership to a team of accounting and business support staff and is responsible for the performance management and hiring / development of the employees within that department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Act as a business partner to CFO and other senior leaders within the organization.
  • Provide leadership and development to accounting and business support team.
  • Establish efficient company accounting procedures with an emphasis on strong internal controls.
  • Monitor financial performance of the company.
  • Lead month-end close process and compile / analyze financial reports.
  • Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company accounting policies.
  • Oversee cash management, including company credit cards and bank accounts.
  • Leadership and support of accounts receivable / billing, accounts payable, project accounting / revenue recognition, and other accounting related functions.
  • Fixed asset management and reporting.
  • Management and communication of company’s key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordination of the company’s financial statement audit and reporting to the company’s banking partners.
  • Comply with local, state and federal government reporting and tax filings.
  • Coordinate and oversee insurance requirements including annual insurance audits.
  • ERP system implementation and management.
  • Annual budget support and regular financial forecasting.
  • Support integration of newly acquired companies.
  • Ensure the company’s accounting system is accurate at all times and maximized for most efficient use.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent accounting systems knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to partner with senior management team.
  • Willingness to travel between company locations.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Accounting designation (CPA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
  • Immediate availability preferred but not required.
