POSITION SUMMARY :

As the Director of Rehabilitation, it is your responsibility to organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Rehabilitation Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community.  The Director of Rehabilitation will seek to return the resident to the optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of resident, Physician, and therapy goals.  Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Rehabilitation Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications / Responsibilities :

  • Must possess hold a valid and current license as an Occupational Therapist granted from the state of North Carolina
  • Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family
  • Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of social care plans and resident assessments
  • Interview resident / families to obtain social history
  • Refer resident / families to appropriate social service agencies when the facility does not provide the services or needs of the resident
  • Provide information to resident / families as to Medicare / Medicaid, and other financial assistance programs available to the resident
  • Provide consultation to members of our staff, community agencies, etc., in efforts to solve the needs and problems of the resident through the development of social service programs
  • Previous experience required, experience in PDPM preferred
  • Shift & Wage :

  • PRN Opportunity Available
  • Shifts Needed : Days and Weekends
  • Wage : $55.00 per hour
