Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:
- Develops, maintains, and implements supportive care program that reflect current standards of nursing practice, company, and community philosophy of care and practices
- Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care evidenced by adequate services and staff coverage within the community, appropriateness of staff, absence of odors, cleanliness, absence of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal physical, mental and psychosocial function. Coordinates and performs emergency response as necessary.
- Reviews 24-hour report daily to ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers, discharges, unexplained injuries, potential abuse or neglect, medication errors, loss of resident property, or any evidence of resident or family dissatisfaction.
- Monitors infection control efforts designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to prevent the development and transmission of disease and infection
- Collaborates with physicians, consultants, community agencies, and institutions to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems. Assists in transporting residents to physician appointments as need.
- Acts in administrative capacity in absence of Executive Director.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Possess a Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse or higher
- Current First Aid, CPR certification required
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, families and personnel in either written or oral format • Ability to remain calm under stress
- Must possess a working knowledge of computer systems or ability to learn
- Must be available for on call hours
