As the RN Unit Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of your assigned unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to residents. You’ll lead and support a team of healthcare professionals while fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Your role will include both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a focus on providing excellent care and enhancing resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership : Supervise, mentor, and guide nursing staff to ensure efficient operations and a high standard of care.
- Care Coordination : Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, residents, and their families.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for residents, families, and staff, addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Staff Development : Provide ongoing training, support, and evaluations to nursing staff to promote professional growth and team success.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring proper documentation of care and services provided.
- Problem-Solving : Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies on the unit, prioritizing resident safety and well-being. Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in NYS.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
