Summary:
Provides clerical support and assistance to Nursing Department.:
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses/Certification:
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred
Experience:
- 1-2 years experience in Nursing Environment
- 1-2 years office experience
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for providing secretarial support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit
- Maintains and updates patients' records for a given unit.
- Communicates with Doctors , families and residents in a professional manner
- Accurately file resident records in their charts.
- Assist the nursing team in documentation
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.
- Must be organized and have the ability to follow directions.
- Ability to be patient and polite.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
