Summer Information Technology Intern Position
The Summer Information Technology intern will work closely with the IT Department to perform various tasks aimed at preparing student devices for the 2025-2026 school year and assisting with summer school operations when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Support summer school operations and assist with distributing and collecting student devices.
- Clean and update laptops and Chromebooks to ensure they are ready for use.
- Set up new devices for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Reassign devices from graduating seniors to incoming freshmen.
- Reassign devices from grades 7 and 8 to incoming kindergarten and first-grade students.
- Clean, reset to factory settings, re-enroll, and assign all iPads.
- Transport equipment between district buildings as directed.
- Assemble and relocate iPad and Chromebook carts as needed.
- Provide support for summer school activities under the guidance of the IT Director or Director of Instructional Technology.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by the IT Director or Director of Instructional Technology.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- The final day of work will depend on the remaining tasks and workload.
Physical Requirements
This role involves physical tasks necessary for success. The intern must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, as well as bend, stoop, climb, and reach as needed. Lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently and moving items up to 100 pounds with proper tools or assistance is required. Reasonable accommodations can be arranged to support individuals with disabilities in performing these duties.
Work Environment
The work setting includes conditions the intern must manage to carry out essential responsibilities. Tasks may occasionally involve working near moving machinery or outdoors in various weather conditions. There may be exposure to wet or humid areas, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, or vibration. When performing such tasks, the use of appropriate safety gear is required. The noise level is typically moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to assist individuals with disabilities in meeting these responsibilities.
