We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks, contributing to both residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical components.
- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in high voltage installations and maintenance under supervision.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles and systems.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and electrical testing devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Understanding of but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Ability to work safely with high voltage systems under supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environments.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Employment for this position is contingent upon successfully passing a client-mandated drug screening and background check. The worksite requires all employees to obtain a security badge, which is subject to the client's background check process. If an applicant is unable to obtain a badge due to the results of their background check or drug screening, they will be ineligible for employment.
