What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Logistics - Power Generation position at AVA Energy?
AVA is partnered with a global leading name in the power generation space in their search for a Manager of Logistics to join their team, this individual will be responsible for managing a team and leading on global transportation operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional in the power sector to join a leading global name or for a specialist outside to move into the sector.
We are looking for an individual with international freight, barge and/or rail experience with breakbulk.
Responsibilities:
- Manage performance of all international and domestic carriers, freight forwarders and brokers.
- Ensure international and US laws are wholly complied with in relation to import/export activity.
- Manage team of logistics professionals to ensure timely delivery of product and components.
- Collaborate with sales in development of logistics strategies and processes for existing and new markets entered.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years experience with international logistics/transportation management
- Four-year college education
- Must have international breakbulk shipping experience
- Knowledge of international commerce and trade regulations
- Ability to think critically to assess strength and weaknesses of current and alternative strategies.
