Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to therapies and treatments.
- Assist in discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams and educating patients on post-discharge care.
- Provide catheter care and manage other specialized nursing tasks as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Level I Trauma Center to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately using ICD-10 coding systems for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Facilitate the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patients transitioning to home care or hospice settings.
- Conduct laboratory tests as needed and interpret results to inform treatment plans.
- Offer compassionate support to patients and their families during end-of-life care in hospice environments.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
- Strong knowledge of discharge planning processes and patient education techniques.
- Experience with catheter care and managing complex medical equipment.
