Job Summary

Line Leads are responsible for executing the duties of a line operator while ensuring that all line employees are completing tasks accurately and efficiently to meet quality, safety, and production goals. The Line Lead serves as a key communicator, relaying all pertinent information to team members and ensuring operations run smoothly within the production area.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the production line with a hands-on approach. The Line Lead must be able to clearly communicate tasks, provide direction, and set expectations for the team. This role requires holding team members accountable for their performance, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring the line stays on schedule and operates efficiently throughout the shift.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area by adhering to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Promptly report any safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Lead the production line by overseeing team members and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform essential manual tasks such as feeding the line, filling, labeling, packaging, capping, palletizing, sealing, and inspecting.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout production and report any deviations or non-conformance issues to the Production Manager and Quality Team immediately.
• Monitor product and material quality, rejecting any substandard items or packages that do not meet SOP and GMP standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the immediate work area and participate in both ongoing and assigned cleanup tasks.
• Assist with line changeovers, ensuring smooth, accurate transitions between production orders (POs) to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Ensure all paperwork and documentation are filled out clearly, correctly, and in full compliance with SOP guidelines.
• Must maintain consistent and reliable attendance, including the ability to work overtime when Necessary.
• Follow detailed instructions and perform accurate calculations for batch documentation to ensure compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough completion of paperwork and documentation.
• Effective written communication skills, with an emphasis on legibility and professionalism.
• Proven ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to established procedures.
• Lead the production line with a hands-on approach. The Line Lead must be able to clearly communicate tasks, provide direction, and set expectations for the team. This role requires holding team members accountable for their performance, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring the line stays on schedule and operates efficiently throughout the shift.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate team members effectively.
• Hardworking attitude with a commitment to achieving production goals.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or relevant time and attendance applications.
• Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• This position requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or manipulate objects, and reach with hands and arms.
• The role also involves periods of sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, including occasionally lifting items above shoulder level.
• Employees must also be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, employees may frequently be exposed to airborne particles, varying noise levels, and moving mechanical parts.
