Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute cost-effective sourcing strategies and vendor management practices to optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with sales, inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Lead the purchasing team with integrity, setting a strong example of ethical decision-making and teamwork.
- Establish and implement annual department goals, including staff training, budget targets, and resource management.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery conditions with vendors to secure cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Track and manage department spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities while upholding quality standards.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience, with knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practices.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- Experience in packaging and brand development preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory receiving and cycle counting processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, and financial analysis skills.
