Overview

Duties
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those dealing with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Assist with catheter care and other specialized patient care needs.
- Follow care plans established by healthcare professionals to meet individual client requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients while adhering to health and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in home community care or home health settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and patient care techniques is advantageous.
- Training in CPR is beneficial; certification may be required based on state regulations.
- Experience in providing dementia care or working with elderly populations is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
