Lead Painter

Avalon Health Care Management, Inc. is hiring a Lead Painter to come join our outstanding team!

We are seeking a skilled Lead Painter to lead and manage our painting team. As the Lead you will travel to facilities with a team to oversee, direct, and participate in all painting projects, ensuring the facility maintains a high standard of aesthetic quality and safety. You will be responsible for coordinating work schedules and ensuring that all painting projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

$36.00 /hr

Schedule: 8 days on 6 days off (Wed-Wed on, Thurs-Tues off)

Must be willing to travel for some projects

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of painters, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to project timelines.
• Plan and coordinate painting and maintenance schedules to minimize disruption to residents and staff.
• Review and approve paint colors, materials, and finishes for projects.
• Inspect work areas to ensure proper surface preparation, safety practices, and quality standards are followed.
• Provide hands-on support when necessary, including painting and applying finishes to walls, ceilings, and trim.
• Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain inventory of paint and supplies, ordering materials as needed.
• Work closely with maintenance and facility management teams to identify painting and maintenance needs.
• Track and document work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Train and mentor new painters, offering ongoing guidance and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with the facility’s leadership team to ensure all aesthetic and maintenance goals are met.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Painter, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, materials, and safety protocols.
• Experience in team management, project planning, and scheduling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve painting and maintenance issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials, including ladders and paint containers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in painting or facility maintenance is a plus.
