Key Responsibilities:
- Be able to read and interpret Architectural specifications, floor plans, and schedules
- Utilize AutoCAD to create shop files and drawings to aid in estimating and fabrication
- Prepare work for fabrication on behalf of customers using AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and Excel
- Ability to generate a Bill of Materials and produce production documents for fabrication
- Ensure timely output of drawings for customer review and approval
- Use software tools to streamline and improve existing processes
- Work in a team atmosphere with Fabrication, Purchasing, and Shipping to satisfy our customers and provide solutions to their problems
- Comfortable converting fractions and basic algebraic functions
- Assist with new product development activities
- Drafting technology knowledge with proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Drafting standards and best practice
- Self-starter/self-motivated
- General mechanical aptitude
