Description
Job Summary: The quality inspector looks at each boat before it goes out the door to make sure it meets our quality guidelines. If there are any issues, they call up the appropriate people to resolve them. This person also takes photos of each boat and creates a daily production report which lists the boats that were produced that day and details any specific issues for those boats.
Key Responsibilities:
Follows all pre-established quality methods, procedures & guidelines to ensure consistency of work
Assists in the implementation of quality initiatives
Uses various quality tools and testers for inspection purposes
Takes ownership of & double checks their work to sustain Quality at the Source (Q@S) initiatives
Uses computers to enter information into Epicor and to read and send emails
Assists in the completion of Insp Reports, Non Conformance Reports, & any related paperwork, as required
Final Inspection of boats for the main line (line 1): Exterior, Interior, Electrical systems & Calling for & Working with Production Team Members Performing Repairs or Corrections
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent multitasking and problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Needs good visual judgment to notice errors and/or defects
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multifunctional team oriented work environment
- Ability to work variable hours with short notice (up to 50 hrs. per week)
