Duties
- Lead and manage the nursing department, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents, ensuring that they meet their medical and emotional needs.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health status and oversee the completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments.
- Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure that all staff are trained in these principles.
- Oversee shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels and quality care delivery at all times.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
- Stay updated on best practices in nursing administration, physiology knowledge, and current healthcare trends.
