The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Product Manager with deep expertise in the Procure to Pay (P2P) process to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Workday Financials platform, focusing on the P2P lifecycle, including procurement, vendor management, invoicing, and payments. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, accounting, and IT, to drive process improvements and ensure the system aligns with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Optimization: Assess, refine, and enhance the Procure to Pay workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control. Provide expert recommendations to optimize procurement, vendor management, invoicing, and payment processes.
Workday Financials Configuration:
Configure and maintain Workday Financials, with a primary focus on P2P modules such as procurement, supplier accounts, invoicing, and payments.
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, business units, and technical teams. Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables for Workday Financials projects, particularly in the P2P area.
Functional Expertise & Support: Provide deep functional expertise in Workday Financials, offering strategic guidance and hands-on support for complex P2P issues. Ensure system configurations meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
Workday Integration & Customization: Work with IT and integration teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday with third-party systems and tools used in the P2P process. Customize workflows and processes as needed.
Training & Mentorship: Develop training materials and ensure that business users are fully equipped to leverage Workday's P2P functionality.
Testing & Documentation: Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Workday P2P configurations and updates. Ensure thorough documentation of all processes, configurations, and customizations.
Reporting & Analytics: Lead the design and development of advanced P2P reporting and dashboards to support business intelligence and decision-making.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that the P2P processes adhere to internal controls, policies, and external regulations, minimizing risk and ensuring audit readiness.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials, with at least 3 years focused on the Procure to Pay process.
Technical Skills:
Expert-level knowledge of Workday Financials, particularly in P2P areas like procurement, supplier accounts, requisitions, purchase orders, invoicing, and payments.
Experience with Workday Financials implementation, configuration, and ongoing support.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, procurement operations, and vendor management.
Proficiency in Workday reporting, dashboards, and data analysis.
Experience with integrations between Workday and third-party systems (e.g., ERP, procurement tools).
Leadership & Communication Skills:
Proven ability to lead and manage Workday Financials projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues in the P2P workflow.
Preferred Certifications:
Workday Financials Certification (Procure to Pay) or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
