Phlebotomist:
Status: Part-time
Schedule: Tuesday (8 hours) and M/W/F - 4 hours
Location: Queen Anne Healthcare - 2717 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109

Responsibilities:
- The primary purpose of this position is to draw blood, fill out requisition forms, drive the samples to the lab (mileage reimbursement included)
- Calling in orders
- Assisting in pharmacy orders and retrieving medical records.
- Speaking with patient families as directed
- Data entry
- Contacting facilities and physician offices for patient status, needs and coordination of care
- Patient Contact; vitals, weight, blood pressure, checking pulse.
- Locating patients in advance of physician visit
- Medical billing; insurance authorizations, communication with entities
- Conduct blood draws
- Complete requisition forms
- Deliver tests to the lab
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a licensed Certified Medical Assistant in this state.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Knowledge of the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols and terms relative to the administration of medications.
- Work positively with staff to coordinate care and physician work flow
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently
- Must have an active CPR/BLS certification
