Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for purchasing related items for multiple functional areas ensuring procurement guidelines are followed.
- Leads, analyzes, and accounts for the technical services and operational budgets and expenditures.
- Provides assistance on financial and regulatory matters for all Customer Service operating departments.
- Leads initiatives to gather, manipulate, analyze, and provide reporting of purchasing and procurement data for customer service. Develop variations of analytical and reporting.
- Responsible for development, analysis, and reporting of O&M and Capital budgets for technical Services and Operations.
- Collaborates with Control in the preparation of budget development, variance analysis, and projections.
- Interacts with subject matter experts to make sure department financial practices are effective, data is properly gathered and analyzed, and applications are structured for optimum effectiveness.
- Leverage fundamental working knowledge of business area workflow to influence and challenge functional areas. Ensuring procedure and policy deliver optimum financial performance.
- Communicate and interact with diverse stakeholder population. Regulatory bodies, senior leadership, corporate partners, and front-line employee management
- Work collaboratively or independently within the department, business area or the enterprise to monitor and analyze various aspects and components of cost and performance to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Education & Experience Required: Bachelors’ Degree in business, accounting, or related field with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates’ degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 years relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of regulated utility business practices
- Proven analytical and problem - solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- .Advanced PC skills including demonstrated proficiency with MS Office
