Responsibilities
1. Performs highly skilled mechanical, electrical, electronic, and instrumentation work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of LNG Plant Equipment including but not limited to: pumps, gas turbines, engines, motors, fans, hoists, compressors,
piping, valves, filters, traps, vaporizers, and meters.
2. Takes equipment readings, interprets abnormal readings and alarms to take pre designated corrective action including activation of emergency equipment and procedures.
3. Operates all plant equipment as required for type of process in operation, liquefaction, vaporization, trucking, and stand-by.
4. Completes company sponsored training as required.
5. Works without supervision on maintaining proper plant operation, security, and emergency equipment and procedures, notifies Supervision of any abnormalities.
6. Calibrates pneumatic and electronic instrumentation and records results on calibration checklists.
7. Performs work orders for inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance system.
8. Maintains spare parts inventory reporting deficiencies for restock and reorder.
9. Does cleaning, painting, pipe fitting, carpentry, masonry, and insulation work.
10. Works rotating shift work when plant is running during Vaporization, Liquefaction, or Trucking.
11. Performs other duties as required.
Skills and Requirements
1. Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.
2. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Keep accurate equipment logs and records.
3. High School education with three years work experience in electrical/mechanical trades desired.
4. Must be able to work from dimensional drawings, mechanical, electrical, and control prints and schematics.
5. Must be physically able to perform the required duties which include but are not limited to: climbing the LNG storage tank, working in elevated and confined spaces, lifting, working in inclement weather conditions, extreme heat and cold.
6. Must possess working knowledge in operation and maintenance of: gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, stand-by electric generators, industrial engines, pneumatic and electronic controls, high output gas fired equipment, and all other process plant equipment.
7. Must be able to successfully complete company sponsored training programs for initial LNG Plan operation, GTI LNG Operator Training, fire fighting training, security training, HAZMAT training, first aid, OSHA required training, and other required training programs.
8. Must be able to work a rotating shift work schedule subject to change according to Plant operating demands.
**THIS IS A DOT SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION. ANY APPLICANT TRANSFERING INTO THIS DEPARTMENT FROM A NON-SENSITIVE POSITION IS REQUIRED TO PASS A PREEMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL, DRUG SCREENING AND RANDOM DRUG TESTING.
