Responsibilities
- Fiber plant design, and general construction knowledge.
- Experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry.
- Strong Computer Skills (Databases, Processes, and Administrative) - Comprehensive knowledge and skill for more complex applications to include Word, Excel, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, Google Earth, etc.
- Knowledge of the network plant and local practices.
- Experience with working application of engineering systems and databases.
- Working knowledge of right-of-way, property rights, and permit acquisition.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with reading/interpreting fiber construction as-builts and fiber splicing cut sheets or schematics.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with modifying and creating linear and point features and attributes from documentation in Client-3GIS or similar GIS application.
- Able to work independently on multiple projects within organizational practices and guidelines.
- Conduct Research to locate and obtain existing feature sets.
- Provide GIS (Geographic Information Systems) analysis and services.
- Prepare custom maps and diagrams from GIS data.
- Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data.
- Analytical Skills - The ability to resolve problems associated with given task.
- Requires High school degree and 4 years or more job-related experience or degree in related field.
- A combination of education and applicable work experience may be acceptable.
- ArcGIS certification a plus.
