The Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing strategic HR generalist support to global clients, with a focus on supporting commercial and sales organizations. This role involves change management, leading key projects, and offering leadership and functional HR support to assigned leaders and client groups within Avanos Medical.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • HR Generalist Support : Provide comprehensive HR support to leaders, their teams, and the HRBP team, with a focus on commercial and sales functions.
  • HR Strategies and Initiatives : Lead and fully execute key HR strategies and initiatives across customer groups, particularly those related to sales performance, commission structures, and incentive programs. Analyzes practices, policies and procedures for improvement and provides recommendations.
  • Employee Relations : Assist the business with employee relations matters, including investigating and resolving complex workplace issues, to ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a high standard of accountability in outcomes.
  • Organizational Diagnosis : Accurately diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans to enhance sales effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Collaboration with COEs : Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) in Talent Management, Compensation / HRIS, Total Rewards, and Community Relations to achieve business results, with a specific focus on sales incentives and compensation plans.
  • Business Unit Partnership : Work closely with business unit leaders in commercial, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and corporate support operations to identify and execute opportunities for increased organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning and coaching.
  • Data Analysis : Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve sales performance, retention, and engagement.
  • Project Management : Plan, organize, and manage global HR team projects, ensuring full implementation of project goals and objectives, including the identification of necessary resources and project team members.
  • Problem Solving : Drive results and resolve issues, removing obstacles to project success through effective and ongoing communication.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Facilitate regular stakeholder and project team meetings and communications, including scheduling, development, and circulation.
  • Multitasking : Effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Your Qualifications

    Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
  • 5 years Human Resources Business Partner experience in a progressive and fast-paced environment, with a strong emphasis on supporting a commercial and sales organization.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions to integrate and execute HR and business strategies, particularly in sales and commissions-based environments
  • Strong knowledge in Local Labor Legislation and positive employee relations practices.
  • Must be able to independently and effectively plan, organize and drive projects to completion using proven project management methodologies.
  • Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy
  • Demonstrates a high sense of urgency, creativity, & is comfortable leading through ambiguity & managing manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to influence and coach employees of all levels in the organization. Confident written and verbal communicator, with executive presence
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence the decision-making process
  • Change management expertise, specifically managing change within a large matrix organization
  • Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
  • Strong HR consulting skills, with a focus on both strategic and tactical execution Experience delivering results in a global environment
  • Organizational design experience
  • Experience in an HR Specialty area (e.g. compensation, talent management, project management, recruiting, DE&I, etc.)
  • Experience with regulated government agencies
  • Prior experience in medical device or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
