ABOUT THE ROLE
The Barback (Seasonal) position is a vital role within our bar team, providing essential support to Bartenders, ensuring efficient service and a seamless guest experience. This position is responsible for setup, inventory management/stocking during the event, and breakdown.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist bartenders by ensuring they have the necessary tools and supplies for fast and efficient service
- Setting up the bar before events, including stocking drinks, garnishes, and glassware.
- Monitor inventory levels during events, ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, mixers, wine and beer during events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and storage areas during and after events, including garbage disposal and ware-washing
- Participate in breakdown and cleanup after events.
- Preparation of batched cocktails and garnishes
- Ensure venue compliance with all DOH regulations
- Receiving alcohol and dry goods deliveries during the week
- Taking weekly inventory
- Cleaning and sanitizing of refrigeration units, ice machines, draft units, and ice machines
- General labor related to the operation of the beverage department
- This is a seasonal part time role from April 2025 through November 2025
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Some previous barback experience
- Must possess a current NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate
- A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute assignments
- Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
- Must be courteous and professional
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 12 hours during events
- Must be willing to work long shifts, including overnight shifts
- Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
- Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, able to stand for long periods of time
COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for Run of Show is $16.50 plus tips.
The hourly rate for General Labor is $20.00.
