About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program and be able to provide and direct speech-language pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and related documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The per diem speech therapist will be responsible for conducting regular screenings of residents, evaluating residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation, monitoring resident responses to intervention, and developing home or community programming to maintain and enhance resident performance.
- Conducting regular screenings of residents to determine the need for intervention/treatment
- Evaluating residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
- Monitoring resident's response to intervention and modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders
- Developing home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of residents in their own environment
The per diem speech therapist will also participate in continuous quality improvement programs as directed.
