At Avante at Inverness, Inc., we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. Our skilled nursing facility has an in-house therapy department that requires a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team.
About the Role
This role is crucial in a facility with a positive community reputation, a history of successful outcomes, and an experienced cohesive team. The Speech Therapist will provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.
The Speech Therapist will also initiate referrals when appropriate and in accordance with department procedures. Some key responsibilities of the Speech Therapist include conducting regular screenings of residents to determine the need for intervention/treatment, evaluating residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation, monitoring resident's response to intervention and modifying treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders, developing home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of residents in their own environment, and participating in Continuous Quality Improvement program as directed.
