Distribution Lead

Overview:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Avanti installers have the correct windows, doors, door frames and parts needed for the following workday. Ensuring all items are securely loaded for installation and collaborating with other employees daily. Communicating effectively and completing these daily tasks while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Understanding procedures, paperwork, and product labels to correctly identify order contents
• Perform forklift, company vehicle and trailer prechecks
• Record and report issues with AWD vehicles and trailers to Fleet Maintenance for repairs or standard care
• Receive and Scan ALL Avanti products as it enters the department – Panels, Frames, Kits, and associated parts
• Gather and load materials needed per truck/trailer according to paperwork
• Exercise the company’ safety guidelines and follow all PPE protocols
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment
• Properly lift, handle, and carry Avanti products; asking for help when needed to ensure safe lifting techniques
• Double check each load is safely and properly secured following a ‘360 Walk Around’ of each load for safe distribution
• Work as a member of the Distribution Team; support colleagues when help is needed or requested
• Work occasional overtime hours and weekends as needed, adjusted shift hours/days, and/or responsibilities to support the Avanti Team

Qualifications and Skills:

• Punctual and reliable; be at work on time every day
• Successful completion of regular and consistent Safety and Job Training as needed
• Basic computer skills are required
• Complete Avanti Fork Truck Certification and successfully maintain this certification
• Embrace, improve, and more importantly enjoy the opportunity to grow with Avanti
• Lift, rotate, carry, and organize components weighing up to 100 lbs. throughout the day
• Communicate professionally with team members, management, and our customers/vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
