What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver position at AvantiRide LLC?
Driver will be responsible for transporting clients to their respective medical appointments in a safe and timely manner. Our clients include both ambulatory and wheelchair bound clients. All trips will be pre-assigned and drivers will be provided with pick-up and drop-off locations ahead of time.
Ideally, drivers must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and customers.
- Secure clients' wheel chairs correctly using provided equipment .
- Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity of the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
- Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip inspections as required.
- Obey and comply with traffic regulations.
- Complete paperwork as required and utilize tablets or electronic device as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with no major traffic violations including suspensions, DUI and DWI. (Minor violations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
- Must be willing and able to drive in adverse weather conditions.
- Must pass drug screening and criminal background screening.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Punctuality is a must.

Pay: $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
