The Opportunity :

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Production Supervisor to join our Biopharma team and support the production of single-use assembly products for our customers.

This role will be a full-time, 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday, 5 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM) position based out of our Morrisville, NC facility. You will have the opportunity to guide a dynamic and collaborative team.

What we're looking for

Education : Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience : 3 years of experience in a production cleanroom environment and / or demonstrated proficiency in cleanroom assembly as evidence through annual reviews

Collaboration Tool : MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

3 years related experience in assembly / fabrication required

2 years of supervisor experience in a cleanroom environment is preferred

2 years of cleanroom assembly / protocol knowledge is preferred

2 years of GMP experience is required

2 years of lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus

Leadership experience is required

Supervisory-level communication skills are required

Microsoft Office is required

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines is preferred

Problem-solving skills are preferred

Lean manufacturing principles are preferred

How you will thrive and create an impact

Supervise, train, coach and motivate staff.

Plan work assignments based on schedule to ensure maximum uptime of the area and assist in the assembly process where necessary.

Respond to quality issues, material shortages and equipment malfunctions and find solutions to each.

Ensure quality and safety procedures are followed and goals are met on a consistent basis

Ensure all cleanroom guidelines are strictly followed.

Review the manufacturing process and final output pieces to ensure all steps have been completed.

Maintain accurate production and inventory records to ensure accuracy and traceability.

Ensure Engineering Process Records (EPR's) are complete, accurate, and clear as to satisfy the design intent and quality requirements. Interface with other departments as required ensuring all department and company goals are achieved.

Oversee production workers by inspecting their work; ensure orders are completed, inspected, tested, packed, and shipped on time and that all work is completed in accordance with the company's quality guidelines, corporate safety program and standard operating procedures.

Maintain all production equipment ensuring that regular maintenance requirements are completed and documented according to the company's operating procedures; report any malfunctions to management and makes recommendations for problem resolution.

Ensure that materials required for production are available; orders additional materials when needed.

Ensures all activities are performed in accordance to written procedures, ISO9001, and cGMP's.

Develop and implement operating procedures to reduce inefficiencies and improve product quality.

Evaluate and implement process improvement activities while following appropriate change control requirements.
