PRIMARY PURPOSE : Ave Maria University is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Admissions Specialist to manage outreach efforts to prospective students and their families. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging high school students, their families, and guidance counselors, fostering interest in Ave Maria University and driving applications for enrollment. This individual will leverage various communication channels to create personalized and effective messaging that encourages students to explore the unique opportunities that Ave Maria University offers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prospective Student Outreach : Proactively reach out to prospective students who have shown interest in Ave Maria University but have not yet applied. This includes contacting students via phone, email, and social media, as well as through personalized messages.
- Engagement Strategy : Develop and implement engagement strategies to nurture relationships with prospective students, providing them with information on admissions, financial aid, campus life, and academic programs.
- Lead Management : Track and manage prospective student data, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective communication with students throughout the inquiry process. Utilize CRM software to monitor and report on outreach efforts.
- Recruitment Travel : Visit high schools to promote AMU and drive inquiries and applications.
- Campus Tours & Events : Promote campus visits, webinars, and virtual events designed for prospective students who have not yet applied. Encourage attendance and foster a deeper connection with the university.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional University Teams : Work closely with University stakeholders to develop and refine strategies for outreach, ensuring alignment with University goals. Share insights on prospective student trends and needs.
- Prospective Student Follow-up : Engage in personalized follow-up efforts, responding to inquiries and guiding prospective students through the application process.
- Data Tracking & Reporting : Monitor outreach effectiveness through data analytics, tracking engagement rates and conversion metrics. Provide regular reports on outreach activities and outcomes to leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, type and perform data entry, visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information, ability to hear in order to answer telephones and to communicate verbally, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS : Work is performed indoors with minimal safety hazards, and requires seated, standing, and movement work.
