Avecina Medical is an award-winning urgent care practice with thirteen locations in North Florida. We have been in practice since 2005 and have been serving patients' needs ever since. We have an outstanding work-life balance, and more than 70% of our staff have employed us for over five years.
Avecina is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our fast-paced work environment. We have an opening at our JTB/Hodges Blvd center. We are interested in hiring a compassionate, forward-thinking individual with experience working in a medical office who is passionate about helping others. A successful candidate will have previous experience working in a medical office, and will be responsible for answering the phones, greeting patients, verifying insurance, and scheduling appointments.
Schedule:
Every team member works two 12hr shifts plus one half shift (6hr) per week. They also alternate every other weekend 8am-5pm. In this method, every staff, gets to have two and a half days off every week during the week and alternate weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and greet patients in a professional manner.
- Register and schedule patients for follow-up appointments.
- Check patients in/out and verify insurance coverage and benefits in EMR
- Provide patients with medical form and collect payment as needed
- Being familiar with the inner workings of a medical office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
