Position Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of products and materials within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment. This role supports receiving and shipping operations, performs quality releases, sampling, and assists with audits to uphold ISO standards and strict regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, etc.). The technician plays a key role in ensuring product safety, traceability, and overall quality from raw materials through finished goods.
Primary Responsibilities / Duties:
- Receiving Inspections- Verify incoming materials meet requirements. Perform results entry and product release through inventory management program. Maintain proper documentation and traceability for received items. Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
- Quality Release and Inspection for Shipment- Perform final review of product and records to ensure they meet customer and purchase order requirements. Conduct record review and visual verification of the proper labeling/ identification. Work with the production and engineering teams to address any non-conformances or quality issues prior to release.
- Production Support- Prepare job packets for production. Conduct sanitation verification, routine production checks and record review. Place non-conforming materials on Hold, assist in monthly inventory and coordinate disposition of materials.
- Quality Sampling and Testing- Collect samples and submit to laboratory testing as required. Log test results and report out of specification results. Maintain the Retains Room for cleanliness and organization.
- Audits- Participate in internal and external audits. Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for audits and regulatory inspections. Support the resolution of audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Calibration- Assist in routine on-site calibrations on equipment. Perform documented equipment checks at required intervals to confirm ongoing equipment performance. Maintain calibration and verification records.
- Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities for process improvements in receiving, shipping, and production areas. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to product quality issues. Assist in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve overall quality.
Facility Requirements:
- Utilize proper chemical handling and usage in the plant and laboratory.
- Follow plant safety and quality protocols, use PPE as required.
- Attend and/or complete required plant, quality, and safety trainings.
- Other duties as apparent or assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some college or technical school experience or degree preferred.
- Previous Quality experience
- Ability to communicate with cross functional teams and management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- ISO 9001:2015 quality system knowledge
- Strong attention to detail, organized and ability to work independently.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Deacom
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety and GMP protocols.

Physical Requirements:
- 40% general office work with ability to sit for extended periods of time, able to operate a keyboard and computer, run a projector, connect computer lines, use a telephone, and communicate by email and internet team applications.
- Up to 60% walking and observing on the manufacturing floor to communicate with employees, assess specific plant situations, quality processes, and related. May require climbing stairs or ladders, reaching, bending, twisting, and working with machinery and processes that requires use of the arms, hands, and fingers, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and/or moving heavier objects with mechanical assistance.
