Job Summary : The Warehouse Assistant will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position is responsible for accurately picking items based on generated pick lists, packing and shipping, receiving and unpacking items, organizing them into appropriate bins, maintaining precise inventory counts, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and well-organized. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent computer skills, and, preferably, the ability to operate a forklift.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accurately pick items according to pick lists generated by the inventory system.
- Receive incoming shipments, unpack items, and organize them into designated bins.
- Ship items using our ERP software via UPS, FedEx or Truck
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using warehouse management software.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner (if certified).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications :
Work Environment and Physical Demands : This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. The warehouse environment may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Proper safety protocols and equipment are provided and must be always adhered to.
